it's been so cold for so long. just like always winter, but never christmas, i was feeling always daffodils, never tulips.
"i'm not a invisible. i'm sort of just hidden. like a chameleon, but without the taste for insects." - elizabeth crane, when the messenger is hot
"why was fabulousness important? the world was a scary, sad place and adornment was one of the only ways she knew to make herself and the people around her forget their troubles." - francesca lia block, necklace of kisses

tulips. finally.
more goslings!
Via Flickr:
aren't they so cute and fuzzy! i hope their parents don't get too protective though.

green mist
Via Flickr:
spring is slowly creeping up the north branch channel. I only get this view because i'm working on saturday. too much overtime for me to experience spring.

goslings
Via Flickr:
again, this is spring. now that the snow has melted there is goose shit all over the sidewalk on the walk to work. come on. but these cute little fuzzy goslings are so adorable it almost makes it worthwhile. i do worry about the grown up geese getting territorial, though. i hope they let me continue to use their sidewalk!
on the train
Via Flickr:
i think the conductor was checking me out. or probably he can't see through the tinted windows and just wanted to make sure his train didn't hit mine.
administrative professionals week
Via Flickr:
as if i'm not busy enough with the sign shop! then there's a floral holiday too! and the bag lady has a show! i wish i could work three places at once! hello overtime for me!
challah
Via Flickr:
lexie has problems baking with yeast so i told her i'd help her make bread. i had too much work to do to go over to her place, so she brought her eggs and flour up here and we braided these lovely loves and i sewed bag linings while they rose and baked. score!
i can still cook!
Via Flickr:
sometimes i worry because lisa always does. but here are her reheated asparagus, my roasted potatoes and onions with pea shoots, and coleslaw.
what size is your cat?
Via Flickr:
mine is longer than us men 19. wich is also considerably longer than a party blower or a gangster's gold chain.
daffodils!
Via Flickr:
SPRING WILL COME. these are all facing down, though, because all it does is rain.
pole jungle
Via Flickr:
it does get the feeling of a circus or playground when there are a million frames sitting around waiting to be covered. there is so much overtime right now! i haven't been doing anything but working.
miles and miles of fabric
Via Flickr:
it's so hard sometimes to make scale work in my head. the things i do at work are so big compared to my life, but they seem normal there.
limeade fizz
Via Flickr:
limes were 10 for a dollar so i got out mom's juice king and squeezed some. a little sugar, a little seltzer, and some chopped strawberries and you have the most amazing cocktail ever. sadly matt drank all my birthday gin so i need to buy more. but that would be the only thing that could have made it better.
EIGHTY DEGREES!
Via Flickr:
so we get all of spring in one day. i'm sick of cold, i'm sick of rain, and we get one amazing sunny 80 degree sunday. lisa and i ate brunch outside and walked to the beach and i got so incredibly sunburnt. the worst of my life. my back itches now just thinking about it.
bathroom tile
Via Flickr:
do you think i can tile my own bathroom? i think maybe i can but i'm afraid of lifting the toilet. i'm still looking for the light blue hexagon mosaic tile, too. i want a vintage chicago bathroom floor.
