no, i don't have any recent pictures of me. sorry, my camera is too hard for others to use. however i do have pictures of lots of important people. Meike by her christmas tree:
a halfway decent one of the unphotogenic ruth and the handsome tobi:
and the moment you've all been waiting for, g! that's her on the left, on the right with the striped shirt and pot is her friend britney. see why i adore her so much? see why she makes most of the population pant? and that's not even that good of a photo- she's not very photogenic either.

oh, sad, meike came out so dark. s'ok, she usually looks the same--so cute and sweet. yes, g. is quite the beauty. i just had a nice evening. turned down clubbing with the girls--too cold out to dress up, too tired to dance and socialize. and i'm not even concerned about the missed connecting time. i'm feeling so positive these days. ended up baking brownies for tomorrow night's dessert. then juiced frozen fruit with joel. amazing. it turns into a gelato of sorts. we listened to leonard cohen, honing our taste buds. lively conversation cracking nuts (brazil, macadamia and almonds). what an essential hospitality item--nuts and a cracker. so rich and sensual hanging out with joel. not even sexual. and no mention of pot. wierd after the few weeks we spent smoking often together that he never seeks me out anymore. oh well, i don't like it much anyway and i'm over that phase. and oh! i made this divine gingerbread cake for dessert tonight and it was served with fresh whipped cream. talk about divine. it was for barbarajean's birthday, she turned 64 and we sang her the beatle's song--you know, "will you still need me, will you still feed me, when i'm sixty-four?!". such fun. i had a bit of wine before dinner and was high from good discussion in yoga and slightly sore muscles from working out yesterday--just feeling alive. too bad it often seems i'm only allowed so much seratonin (isn't that the feel good chemical?) in a week. but tomorrow's snow! they say 10-18 inches. i say three. then i'm set up to be pleasantly surprised. except that i have to drive a meal up the big hill to brinton house in the less than stellar mini van. although, they did get new tires on it. last time i tried driving that in the snow (the infamous night of jamie from last december) it had ZERO tread on the tires. a bit scary. ok, enough. is this a good comment or should i just have emailed you? ~a.
